Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming!

We have been a little busy getting the laboratory set up. We have got quite a few changes done! A brief recap:

  1. Migrated production software off of a Raspberry Pi to an HP Proliant server, or VMs on said server.
  2. Started our own, locally managed, git server to avoid using commercial options.
  3. Further set ourselves up for some machine learning applications.
  4. Configured our services to use HTTPS on certificates provided by Let’s Encrypt.

What are we currently up to?

  1. We are building tanks that grow seedlings for us! This is what the image at the top of the post is about. It is going to take some time, as we are still learning some of the electrical components involved, but we will get it done. The code lives on our private git server for now, but we will move it to Github when production ready.
  2. We are going to work on deploying our intended services as microservices in Kubernetes, or something similar. We will begin work on this after we have made more headway towards the seedling tanks.

See you soon!
